Key West Chicken

Servings: Enough marinade for 2 pounds chicken


1 large orange, zest and juice
1 lime, zest and juice
1 jalapeno, finely diced (use seeds if you like it spicy)
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1 teaspoon red wine vinegar
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 teaspoons kosher salt (use less if using table salt)
1 teaspoon honey
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
pinch of crushed red pepper


In a large bowl, whisk all ingredients together. Add chicken, cover and refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
For maximum flavor, grill chicken on an outdoor grill (or otherwise prepare chicken using your favorite method).
